On April 30, 2009, Cassavetes contributed their version of Beck's "Lost Cause" to the amazing and altruistic event, 500 Songs for Kids, at Smith's Old Bar in Atlanta.
The organizers gather artists of all ages, styles, and backgrounds, and over 10 nights, 50 artists a night count down Rolling Stone magazine's top 500 Songs of All Time.
This time around, the artists counted down Rolling Stone's Top 500 most "passionate" songs of all time. Cassavetes fell somewhere between Motley Crue's Shout at the Devil and the Shins' New Slang.
The event is always fun, always inspiring, and always positive, and as always, we are very thankful and honored to be included. As sad as we made this song sound (and i think we made it pretty sad), we were tickled to be a part of such a great event, and cause.
Thanks to the organizers. And thanks to Dan Hollister for being the man behind the lens.
Tired of fighting,
