Raman & Sunny - The Story So Far

We were commissioned to create a 2 minute animation to be played at a couple's wedding reception. The illustration's are personalised to reflect the looks and outfits of the happy couple and their participating families. The animation tells a brief story of how the couple met and how the groom proposed (and how he suffered from a brief spell of cold feet!). It finishes by showing the actual wedding ceremony as well as the bride and groom and their families waving outside the venue. The end message welcomes people to the reception. The animation was screened to over 700 guests at Magma Science Park where it was well received and praised for it's "uniqueness".

The style of the animation was inspired by Smith & Lee's superb illustrative Google Chrome videos. https://vimeo.com/23412817 The playful illustrations, bright colours, simple animation and light-hearted script are key to promoting Google Chrome Notebooks as non-complicated devices. However the level of detail and smooth transitions between scenes are not to be underestimated. It takes a great amount of time and effort to get these video's to flow as well as they do and the ultimate reward is the share-ability of them.

We wanted to do something similar without completely ripping off the style. We feel proud to have achieved this and even more so with how delighted our client is with the end product.
