After being asked to make a short documentary I didn't have to think hard about what my subject matter would be. The year previous I had travelled to Iceland for recreation coming across an excursion to go horse trekking on the bizarre landscape of the lava fields. Whilst out enjoying this small stout fellows the guide told us of a special talent the horses had, that no other in Europe did. The ability to Tölt.
This documentary touches on the history of the Icelandic horse, how it is thought to have come to Iceland, and some contentions as to why at being so small it is classed as a horse and not a pony in the Icelandic's hearts.
