This video is composed of footage shot on Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar. The four cities that border the lake are responsible for a great part of the country's fishing and weaving industries. Virtually all of the country's tomatoes are grown in the floating gardens that can be found all over the lake.
The song is Eu Sambo Mesmo by Joao Gilberto. Perhaps the music is a little too cheery considering that Myanmar is a very troubled place. However, having written two 50+ page papers on the country's pre and post colonial economic and political history when I was at university (nearly 10 years ago) I can say that things definitely appear to be looking up.
This was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and a Tamron 28-70mm lens. Unfortunately there is a tiny spec of dirt on the lens throughout.
