The spindle polisher quickly produced a spherical surface using cerium dioxide and a portland cement tool. This resulted in a turned down edge which will be removed by further polishing.
There are no support ribs under the central 15 cm diameter area where the Cassegrain perforation will be cut out. This resulted in a central mound visible in the Ronchi test. There is no indication of print-through patterns of the ribs. Dream Cellular blanks show zero print-through when polishing pressure is maintained below 25 psi.
