Community gardens are part of the production side of our local food system. They’re places where people who don’t have space for a garden, lease, or are given, free-of-charge, a small plot of land to grow fruits and vegetables. Pam Dempsey of cu-citizenaccess.org has this story on one such community garden in Champaign.
