This short film was part of a theatrical performance by the title "Thailanders". The play was inspired by the theatrical play of Lenos Christidis, "Amazing Thailand". The amateurs participating in the workshop of the theater company named Syntelestes, decided to have a scene of the play being filmed and shown during the performance, following the idea of a member of the team, Panos Argyriou.
The story is about a young man, Nikos, who has left Greece and lives in Thailand. His best friend, his family and an old schoolmate, Vrasidas (with his girlfriend, Litsa) come to visit. In this particular scene, Vrasidas, Litsa and the mother of Nikos', Fini, go trekking in the jungle.
The scene was filmed in the National Garden of Athens (3-6-2012) during a Sunday morning. The director of the performance, Maria Salliari and me directed it, while Gr.P was behind the camera and did the editing.
Cast: Akis Nikolaidis (Vrasidas), Tzella Denexofraga (Litsa), Katerina Spanou (Fini).
Props and alligator training by Irene Lilakou.
Music: Wilhelm Richard Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries.
The crocodile is, despite appearances, a real one. :-)
