Hi my name is Michele Forsberg, and I am the director of the Metro Denver Clear Passage Physical Therapy Clinic.
I come to the field of physical therapy as a second career. I was a dancer.--A profession al dancer in New York City. I decided to go into physical therapy, because I had some injuries. I dealt with some physical therapists that seemed to really know about the body. I felt like it was a good transition for me, and I felt like it was a good way for me to grow as a person, as well.
I graduated in 1999 from Long Island University with a Master’s degree in physical therapy. I’ve taken a lot of coursework in manual treatments, but I find my patients to be my bet teachers. As I work with them, I grow and learn more about how different things appear different. It’s deeply gratifying to work with a patient. In conjunction with listening to them both verbally and through their body to sort of get cues as to what is happening with them. It is really exciting when all that comes together and we discover what sharpening through their personal history because you know it’s all so individual.
It is a beautiful clinic, very peaceful it has a really healing environment; nice wood floors and high ceilings.
There are lots of shops and restaurants and beautiful views of Longs Peak. It is a about a 15 minute drive to Boulder, Colorado, which is a really wonderful town and about a 30-40 minute drive to downtown Denver. So, it’s pretty well situated
It all comes together when you put your hands on someone and you get to know them. It just feels great to release those restrictions and give them freedom.
