Svævninger

Svævninger is a concert that explores the matter of the soundwave, expressed through laser-lights, sounds and loop-machines.

The term ‘svævninger’ refers to the shimmering interference that appears between almost alike wave forms also called ‘beatings’ in English.

The audiovisual collective Vertigo has partnered with composer, singer and experimental cellist Lil Lacy on exploration of the field of beatings through sound and light.

The lazer lights are generated by soundwaves and controlled through loop machines, just as the voice and cello is in this collaboration.

As a palindrome they exploit, uncover and discover Svævninger, in interlocking fields of sound, light, beatings, reflections and reflections of inspiration.
