Covid Chaos 1.5

My last Covid Chaos animated short was so unexpectedly popular that I decided to create a sequel. I made this shorter follow up. From the title, you can tell this was inspired by the legend of Nero combined with the visual of the dumpster fire that is 2020, now even worse by the loss last week of RBG. My politically active friend Conan Low also said that I needed to make animated GIFs for distribution. You know, for kids. So I made 12 GIFs and Stickers while Conan made a giphy.com page. This again uses a modified 3D model that was created by Denys Almaral (http://denysalmaral.com). I rigged it in Maya using the Quick Rig Biped Tool. I specifically chose a low-fi approach to the rigging and character animation since I have limited skill in those departments. I also downloaded a free toilet model from TurboSquid. It was playblasted in Viewport 2.0 and edited in Adobe Premiere. I created the motion graphics using Adobe After Effects and Illustrator. For music, I licensed the main track by Happy Face Music from audiojungle.net. Most of the sound effects were downloaded from freesound.org, and I noted the specific sound effects and where I found the others in the credits. The voice is indeed Donald Trump in his own words, from a campaign rally before he became president. I did my best to be accurate to the dates, numbers, and facts represented in the short. The source material for the statistics is cited in the credits at the end.

As with the last one, I recognize that not everyone will share my opinion. I respect your right to disagree. Disagreements are and should be a natural part of the political discourse of this country. No matter your political leanings, the message to "Please Vote" at the end applies universally.
