An afternoon spent around Culzean Castle and its grounds. (No filming allowed inside - shame.)
A great place for a day out. The castle goes back to the late 1700s, with Robert Adams as the architect. More recently, it was used by Dwight D Eisenhower on various occasions (including when he was president.)
The grounds are quite extensive, including a Victorian walled garden, a pagoda and a lake at the southern end. Lots of wildlife to see, especially ducks, swans and geese.
Needless to say it has a reputation for being home to various ghosts.
