This September, over six hundred Rotarians will gather with friends and families for an encore performance of last year's wildly successful "Remembering 9/11 project". Last year's event was commissioned by the Burlington Rotary club to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.
Nationally renowned Chicago composer and Seattle native Rick Vale created a meaningful and lasting musical program which included a 112-member chorus, a 62-piece orchestra, a bagpiper and a children's chorus. Last year's performance grew into a three day event, and multiple requests for an encore performance have led to the scheduling of another concert this fall.
Rick Vale will again lead the production, with two performances scheduled for September 6th and 7th, 2012 at McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon, WA. He will be joined this year by the fabulous Skagit Symphony.
