Sunday, July 22, 2012, 7:30pm. Part of the BRAIN FEVER SUMMER 66.6 DAY TOUR. Support of Bonehouse and Without Maps.
Bonehouse, from Scotland, released one of my favourite EPs of last year and we've wanted to put them on for ages. Big group vocal hooks nailed onto a rock solid rhythm section. If you liked it when we put on Crash of Rhinos, you'll be interested in this.
Brain Fever, from Canada, play wonky, arty hardcore, that's nonetheless utterly intense. Thank god this gig is at the Chameleon - the good sound means you'll be able to hear all the cool stuff they're doing among all that noise. (For fans of Daughters, Rolo Tomassi, Orchid)
Without Maps are some local nerds playing post-hardcore. Lotsa vocals, lotsa notes. (For fans of: At The Drive-In, Hot Cross)
First band 8pm; we'll get everything wrapped up early so no-one misses their bus. £4 please, these bands are from a long way away! They need petrol and houmous!
This is another 49s vs Dolphins show. Our distro will be there. Other DIY promoters - feel free to bring flyers for your upcoming gigs.
