One year on.
In June 2011 C!ties played their final show. Around that time we assembled a group of friends with cameras and audio equipment to have a go at recording some memories before they became lost forever.
This is one of our favourites in terms of nostalgia. Similar to the other gig videos released so far, it contains footage of our final Limerick show, upstairs in Dolan's, Limerick on the 26/05/12. This is also where the audio was recorded from. However, for this one we found some clips of our final, final show in Brandon's, Ennis on the 02/06/11, and footage from the Clare Youth Service practice space, where we played a few hours before our final show. Incidentally, this practice space was where this song was written, towards the very start, later to be released on our EP, reworked for a split 7" vinyl, and consistently inspiring the most fun crowd reactions and best response in the live show.
For the Brandon's gig our lad Evan Murphy was smart enough to record an impromptu video of our final song, complete with leaving the camera on an amp halfway through the song in order to jump into the crowd and have fun. So we took that, and the C.Y.S. footage, and mashed them in with the Limerick performance.
It's a good thing too, because it captures video evidence of the insanity of a good Brandon's gig. Great, great times.
(The DJ mixing the illest shit imaginable in the opening sequence is MynameisjOhn, an unreal friend to C!ties and a phenomenal musician worth checking out: stressdebtchestpains.bandcamp.com).
