This is Part 1 of a 3-part video on Eid Al-Adha in Pakistan.
Eid Al-Adha (the Festival of Sacrifice) is an Islamic holiday, celebrated by sacrificing goats / cows / camels / sheep to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's readiness to sacrifice his son, in servitude of God. Of course, his son was replaced at the last second by a lamb (through God's intervention), so he did not actually have to sacrifice his son, but his strength of faith is what is celebrated by Muslims worldwide on this festive day.
This video demonstrates the initial part of the event; shopping for animals at what is known in Pakistan as a 'Bakra Mandi', and then taking the animal home to care for it, before it is sacrificed.
