Sinopsis

Araucaria araucana, testigo silencioso de las transformaciones del planeta por millones de años, ha presenciado la separación de los continentes y el surgimiento de cordilleras. “Vestigios” se centra en esta especie arbórea prehistórica ubicada en la precordillera del sur de Chile y patagonia argentina, para crear un relato visual de su historia a través de la observación poética y contemplativa, mostrando su resiliencia ante las fuerzas externas, su relación con el ser humano, hasta la actual enfermedad que amenaza su permanencia como consecuencia del cambio climático.

Araucaria araucana, silent witness to the planet's transformations for millions of years, has observed the separation of the continents and the emergence of mountain ranges. "Vestiges" focuses on this prehistoric species, located at the foot of the Andes in the South of Chile and Argentine Patagonia, and constructs a visual narrative of its story through poetic, contemplative observation of its resilience against extreme forces, its relationship with humankind, and even the illness currently threatening its permanence as a consequence of climate change.
