There are some events that have helped in defining Jackson over the years and given it the reputation as a tourist destination. Of all the long-time annual events that have had this privilege, the Hot Air Jubilee may be one of the most ubiquitous.
Started in 1983 by a small group of hot air balloon enthusiasts, the Hot Air Jubilee will once again light up the night at Ella Sharp Park, July 20-22. Admission is free and parking is $10. Visitors will enjoy watching 20-22 balloons compete in a series of friendly contests. But, while the balloons are the main attraction, there will be no shortage of things to do and see.
