This moving and highly relevant documentary feature film recounts the incredible life story of Stan Brock, a British-born Amazonian cowboy and former US TV star who dedicated the last 30 years of his life to building one of the largest non-state-sponsored free healthcare charities in the United States. We have spent the past 6 years documenting the tireless work and rapid expansion of Remote Area Medical under Stan’s unwavering leadership, even in the face of his own declining health, whilst trying to garner some insight into what would invoke a man to give up fame, wealth, and practically all material comforts to help the poorest people of his adopted homeland.
