My lovely partner and I were lucky enough to be in Paris on Bastille Day (known in France as Le quatorze juillet - check out the wikipedia article for the amazing background to this celebration if you have time and aren't familiar with it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastille_day). On Bastille Day there is always an amazing fireworks display near the Eiffel Tower. We staked out a spot and were impressed by the array of that went off during the 30 minute display. Fortunately I had my camera with me and was able to get some great (albiet shaky) footage.
Naturally I wanted to do something with it, even though it isn't pro quality, just to give people an idea of the display. So I've edited into this rough little video with a very suitable song by Australian musician Kate Martin from her album "Hand me my bow and arrow." The song is called Embers Burn. Make sure to go and give her a like if you dig the song! (facebook.com/katemartinmusic) Also, photos from my trip and other jazz can be found at facebook.com/ArtistAaronAshley. Enjoy!
