We were contacted by a local photographer who wanted to get some photos (from the air) of hang gliders above Barwon Heads for the City of Greater Geelong. So after mounting the photographer's cameras on the wings (which were programmed to take photos every 2 seconds), we went for a quick flight around Barwon Heads where we were directed via radio from the ground (care of Chook) into various angles getting the "bluff" and other Barwon Heads' landmarks into frame.
Given the photographer's cameras were mounted on the wings (where I usually mount my Gopro), I decided to try taking some footage with the Gopro mounted on my helmet instead. By doing so, hopefully you will get an idea of what it looks like from my (the pilot's) perspective. Be sure to watch the landing at the end which gives you an idea of seeing the ground rush up to meet you.
