At a meeting of the Society for Popular Astronomy on 21 July 2012, Prof Paul Roche describes how the Faulkes Telescopes and other robotically controlled instruments are available to schools for live use during class time. Because the telescopes are distributed around the world, they can be used during the daytime to take images and not only to teach astronomy but to carry out research by schoolchildren.
