In this hour-long discussion, artists and longtime collaborators Daniel Tucker (Philadelphia) and Rosten Woo (LA) will discuss their efforts to make work exploring localism. Moderated by Tara Nelson, Curator of Moving Image Collections at VSW, the conversation will begin with a short introduction to each artists’ practice and will expand to include the ethics of working in communities where one has a long history versus contexts where one occupies a relative outsider status. The dialogue will also consider the ways in which locally-oriented work have changed as a result of the pandemic.
