From the 3.5 million residents of Liberia roughly a third lives in the capital Monrovia. Many of them internal displaced people who fled the rural during Liberia's long civil war. Most of them former farmers with no other skills than farming.
So Urban Farming makes sense, especially because the agrarian state cannot feed its people without importing food.
The german NGO Welthungerhilfe supports the self-help group with tools, seeds and training.
