Fictional characters Christy (a Wycliffe translator) and Kaiya (a local translator) work through a difficult Bible translation challenge. When cultural perspective changes the meaning of Scripture, the translation team has to work hard to make sure the translation communicates the true message of spiritual freedom God intended. Scripture, when translated, should be clear and accurate. Christy and Kaiya work not only to ensure that translations are grammatically correct and match the original Greek, but also that the meaning of those verses comes across well. In this video, Christy and Kaiya both need to learn from one another in order to present the most accurate and clear picture of God’s Word that they can.
Wycliffe’s mission is to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025.
