"Nothing Is Set In Stone", by the award winning artist Mira Calix, is a musical sculpture made of gneiss stones. The installation is standing at Fairlop Waters, a nature reserve, between June 21st and September 9th 2012. This interactive sculptural song invites the public to contemplate the modulations within nature and the ephemeral quality of music.
This is part of Secrets Hidden London, inititated by the Mayor of London – a series of extraordinary site-specific collaborations taking place in a range of unusual locations across the capital in summer 2012, led by major artists and leading cultural organisations. Nothing Is Set In Stone is also part of the London 2012 Festival.
"Nothing Is Set In Stone" project partners are Oxford Contemporary Music, Natural History Museum,Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure, Exhibition Road Cultural Group, London 2012 Festival and Mayor Of London.
