Gusho is a project by Laura Malinverni and Cora Bellotto
Gusho is a reactive dress, sensitive to electromagnetic pollution. The project stems from the idea of exploiting the material and communicative potentials of fashion. In doing so it stimulates a reflection on the impact of technology on the environment, health and behavioural patterns.
Through the study of the effects of electromagnetic pollution on living beings, the project Gusho - reactive protective dress, has two objectives. One to visualize the presence of this kind of pollution and the other to provide a system of protection and adaptation to this new environment.
Gusho, for its behaviour, represents a sort of extension of the nervous system. With an
increase in electromagnetic radiation in the environment, the suit triggers a mechanical
reaction that inflates the dress and turns it into a protective shelter through the use of a shielding fabric.
