Rented the Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 constant zoom lens this last week from LensRental (great company). And in short, it lives up to its reputation as a first class lens. As with a new camera, it takes time to learn a lens, a luxury I didn’t have. So, anything less than stellar in this video, and there are a few moments, is solely due to operator error. As to the lens, the rings are smooth (although on my version the zoom ring wasn’t quite as smooth as the focus), OIS outstanding (all motion clips are OIS only, no post stabilization), and most importantly, it’s optically wonderful.

Camera: GH2 (non hacked)
Edited and slight color balancing in FCP X
