Recently we have been featuring some archive footage that was kindly provided by Craig Halstead – an expat kiwi currently residing on The Gold Coast. Shot on the East Coast of the North Island sometime in the early 70′s, the clips are a great historical flashback. Fast-forward forty years. I’m sitting in a car with Ricardo Christie and Johnny Hicks. We’ve been driving an hour and a half, maybe two. It’s raining, cold, and the boys are toying with the idea of pulling the pin. Eventually they have a change of heart and hit the lineup, trading blows at a sheltered spot away from the storm that is passing over the region.
