Does God use the personality and makeup of the writer in the penning of Scripture, or does He simply ignore them? Paul, like us, was a product of many events and many people. They left their effects on him, as surely as they do on us today. Yet God’s hand was fully involved in Paul becoming the man he was as he wrote his letters we have in Scripture.
Paul was made up of bits and pieces of those with whom he had come into contact. Paul’s family, his education, his friends, all contributed to mold him into the man of Christ we know from the Scriptures. Let’s explore together to find out how the background of Paul and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit meet together in Paul’s writings! This is part three of four in our series on Paul’s theology of Scripture.
