The Benicia Fine Art & Jazz festival has become an annual fixture in Benicia. The setting on a grass lawn beside the Carquinez Straits is idyllic. Halfway through we took a walk along the pier to watch the fishermen, and the gulls in the wetlands.
I've never filmed a music festival before, which is probably apparent. I wish I'd recorded more audio to accompany some of the crowd visuals. As a result, the audio edit is pretty choppy. The sound system was good, so no excuses there. Anyway, I hope I've captured something of the laid back atmosphere of a sunny summer California
afternoon. Let me know what you think - negative as well as positive. I need to learn!
The entire sequence was shot with my Panasonic GH2 handheld and stabilized with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 warp stabilizer in post. All sound recorded in camera, as I had left my H2n at home.
