The movie has been rendered in Mandelbulb 3D, a free software available at fractalforums.com, programmed by the user "Jesse" and mounted in Premiere CS5 by Arthur Stammet in July 2012.
Many cuts, obtained by flying more or less slowly, through a hybrid Mandelbox and Menger Sponge fractal, illustrate the construction plan of its internal structure. This journey, focused on the symmetric center of this fractal's region, reveals a great variety of infinitely repeated, self-similar, circle-based and windowed structures, spreading and centering with a constantly repeating and slightly changing continuity.
The soundtrack is an electronic music composition with the same name, composed in April 1992. Its first public performance has been organized by the LGNM (Luxembourg Society for Contemporary Music) at the Conservatory of Luxembourg, twenty years before the realization and public presentation of this animation film. This highly minimalistic, repetitive music, organized around some series of simple rhythm patterns and melodies, underlines and comments musically the graphical repetitions of the fractal film.
