Galileo’s Pavilion was designed and built by Studio 804, a comprehensive educational opportunity for graduate students entering the final year of the Master of Architecture program at the University of Kansas School of Architecture, Design and Planning.

This year's project was designed and built for Johnson County Community College in Overland Park , KS. Named in reference to its incorporation with Dale Eldred's preexisting 'Galileo's Garden' sculpture at the site, the building is composed of two classrooms and a student lounge totaling 3200 sq. ft. Designed to Passivhaus standards and seeking to be 804's fifth LEED Platinum building, it aims to be a sustainable learning center for the campus and community at large.

This video shows a time lapse of the construction process, which started January 4th and ended on June 20th.
