There are many Muslim men and women languishing in the various prisons in the United States. The majority of them converted while in prison and Islam was the key for their reformation. With extremely limited resources, prisoners try to learn everything they can about their faith. This film is about some of those prisoners who were searching for knowledge while in prison and their eventual connection to a teacher in society. The film was directed by Mustafa Davis and produced by the Tayba Foundation. Tayba is is a registered non-profit located in the S.F. Bay Area that has established a distance learning program for prisoners to seriously learn the religion of Islam. Donate online at (http://www.taybafoundation.org/donate). We accept zakat to cover the cost of inmate students as well as assistance to inmates during their re-entry to society.
