NeoRio is an annual outdoor, public symposium, celebration and rendezvous of artists, scholars and youth celebrating natural world themes. A curated event, NeoRio propagates creativity and cross-pollination between artists, conservationists, scientists and others interested in protecting and celebrating our local communities and wild lands and rivers. Now in its 4th year, NeoRio 2012 will feature “Peoples PCR”, an experimental project by NY visiting artists, Paul Vanouse and Joan Linder, plus new installations, videos and temporary murals by contributing artists and local youth inspired by this year’s theme, “Powers of Sun, Wind and Water.” Experience the solar-electrified Weasel Bus, a NeoKite extravaganza, kinetic wind installations, solar-powered, outdoor video projections and installations plus featured speakers and writers, music and evening celebrations on the rim of the gorge. September 27 - 28, 2012. More info at leapsite.org.
