Created in partnership with Speedball Art and formatted for Instagram Television , this video delineates the final stages of the woodcut printmaking process for the piece, "Aparicion" by Oaxacan printmaker Pavel Acevedo. In reflection, Pavel believes that nothing is wasted in the studio...sometimes accumulating test proofs becomes problematic, but there always is a purpose for them in the end. Breaking attachment and stepping away from the image can be challenging with prints continuing their life cycle in the studio or on the street, all are apart of the important belief of letting go.
