Seke is from Ethiopia. She's been in Australia for just under two years. She's settled in Coffs Harbour where she's learning English at the local Coffs Coast Community College.
In 2011 the Community College started a market stall, selling food cooked by the women who take part in their language course. The food comes from Ethiopia, Eritrea and Thailand.
Today is Seke's turn to be team leader of the market stall. Even though she's observing Ramadan, so she can't eat or drink during daylight, Seke is preparing a traditional Ethiopian lunch for the people of Coffs Harbour.
This film was made with the support of Wendy Tanner, Ted Greenwood and the women in the English class at Coffs Coast Community College with Coffs Coast ABC Open Producer, Liz Keen.
