Israel Wilderness Experience | Id#shabb-081012-israel-wild |
Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty years. They had been given a chance to enter the Promised Land, but they could not enter. Out of twelve spies, only two; Joshua and Caleb had given a good report and were ready to enter the Promised Land. Out of this, judgment came for Israel and that generation that had come out of Egypt by God's mighty hand faced forty years of wandering until that faithless generation had died away.
Many Christians today try to enter the promised land of Gods promises without going through the wilderness experience. Today's show, Israel Wilderness Experience looks as this in-depth and finds what we can learn from it today. In the Wilderness experience they went through many things and were literally put to the test, in order for the Lord to find out what was in their hearts. But through it all, the children of the generation who had died off, learned to live, multiply, and go through the wilderness unscathed. What they learned was that "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
What is more, Israel learned that the arm of the flesh cannot do what Gods word is intended to do. We find in this experience of Israel's in the wilderness that indeed they were taken care of. In a place that is harsh, forbidding, and no food; they were taken care of. Join us as we journey into the wilderness and prepare to learn lessons that will prepare us for what comes to this nation and the nations. We are in the end time and if ever we needed to understand the provision of God, it is now. Israel learned it through forty years of wandering in the wilderness. Many Christians today wander in their own wildernesses and never learn about or how to obtain God's provision for their lives.
Proving, testing, and blessing to conquer
2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
