Avante is an eight-year-old boy who lives with his grandmother in a small town in Massachusetts. He was diagnosed with autism. When Avante entered second grade, he became disruptive and was frequently placed in an isolation room in his public school. Once, the school called the police, who physically restrained him. Lawyers from Health Law Advocates were able to secure Avante a spot in a private school for children so that he could receive the support he needs.
