“Acidable” is a turntable, which uses the acid of freshly pressed orange juice to control different sound samples. By playing with the turntable the user also produces orange juice.
The Acidable is equipped with a ph-sensor, potentiometers, rotary encoders and an Arduino board to communicate with Max/Msp. By pressing an orange on the squeezing machine the ph-sensor measures the acidity of the fruit and triggers a music sample. As a result of turning the oranges, the pitch, speed and the volume of the the music can be modified.
