After developing a color, gamma, and sharpness matching profile between the GH2 and the AF100, I decided to compare aliasing between the two. This test used the exact same lens, same chart, and color/gamma/sharpness matching profiles.
The ideal rendering of the image would be as clean concentric circles. The spurious patterns and reverse circle formations that appear are aliasing.
As part of this comparison, I wanted to test the sharpness that each sensor was capable of producing, and as such I used the highest-quality recording modes I could. For the GH2, I used the FlowMotion 2.02 hack. For the AF100, I used the NanoFlash external recorder.
This video is part of a larger article where I attempt to develop matching profiles between the AF100 and GH2.
