In August I spent two weeks up in Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya. I was teaching creative workshops to production staff and refugee youth film makers with FilmAid International. This is a reel of some of the student work that was created.
My students were incredibly talented with many powerful stories to tell. It was my hope to give them new tools of visual communication to add to their skill sets. I taught an intro to graphic design with an eye on film making. I also taught storyboard development, intro to typography, title design and animation.
