Blue bird brings bright sun, blue skies no wind and a perfect day to head up to Snow Park.
The Burton High fives are in full swing with riders practice and registration today
This event has a twist as 12 team captains were selected during the Rider Welcome Dinner on Tuesday night. Each team captain will then make a team of 5 people made up of: 2 women (one HP and one SS), 2 men (one HP and one SS) and 1 additional rider that can be male or female HP or SS. Riders will be selected one person at a time. Strategy will come into play when making the teams.
For our parents that don’t understand SS= Slope style and HP = Half pipe which are different styles and categories of shredding down the mountain.
Riders can ride in both HP and SS, however only the top 3 overall scores across men and women for SS and HP will count towards total team ranking points. Teams will be awarded points based on the final results of the individual members which will be added up to make a final team standing.
Today we witnessed the Mini Cooper Snow Drive at the Burton High Fives and we managed to get a go on the riders course with Kezia Trask our guest as driver bring her kiwi rally driving skill to the test.
See you tomorrow Snow Park.
