Mara Shapiro has a plan of attack when it comes to shopping for back to school supplies. "It's really important that you give your kids guidelines before you go. Discuss what you're going to buy before you go, or even go without them with a list, because once you're there, it's really hard to say no," says Shapiro who has two boys in school and a daughter starting university this year.
