BEEF is an exhibition of seven contemporary painters organized by the artist collective S.C.A.B. (Socialized Contemporary Artists Bureau) and curated by Kelly Kroener and Lucy Kirkman. An opening reception hosted by Angstrom Gallery’s owner David Quadrini will be held Friday, August 17 from 6:00 – 10:00pm.
BEEF presents bulked-up works by Justin Hunter Allen, Joshua von Ammon, Alexander DiJulio, Nathan Green, Arthur Peña, Eli Walker, and Jeff Zilm. Curators Kroener and Kirkman, both S.C.A.B artists, are experimenting with a high-intensity performative curatorial exercise, documented by Frank Robertson.
S.C.A.B. is a collective of the sexiest young contemporary artists in Dallas making the biggest, baddest paintings. See S.C.A.B. flex their collective muscles in the group’s third and most macho exhibition to date. Come to BEEF to admire the buffed physique of artists toned, energized and motivated. S.C.A.B. : No conceptual handrail, just conceptual dumbbells.
