I saw these amazing pics by jane - flickr.com/photos/jane_in_wales/sets/72157623594452058/ and thought I'd have a go at time-lapsing it. I soon discovered that it's difficult to grab one shot let alone 250 of them for a 10 second time-lapse!
After an hour of testing the original fluid that came with the 'bubble wand' (or whatever it's correct name is) I was almost ready to give up as after around 50 exposures, the film of oil would split. I walked into the kitchen in search of a late night snack and saw the solution right in front of me - washing up liquid. It's thicker and in my head, I believed that a thicker liquid would hold together for longer before breaking up and it worked!
These are just a couple of shots but the experimentation will continue...
