With compliance issues at a forefront, how can institutions be sure they’re meeting regulations? We asked Vince Norton co-founder of Norton Norris Inc., a full service marketing, advertising, mystery shopping and training firm. Norton Norris, according to Norton, is a unique niche in that they both shop institutions, and then circle back after discussing results to help with training, both with regards to compliance and customer service in order to uncover areas of opportunity. Through this process, Norton Norris aims to help schools obtain the right students—rather than quantity, obtaining the students that will stay, succeed, and graduate. We asked Mr. Norton what the mystery shopping experience is like, how schools are rated in this process, and how the business got started.
