I tend to walk a lot on my day time job. Mostly to reach for good and cheap food during lunch. :) This causes much wear and tear on a corner of my sole as my feet aren't perfectly straight.
Resoling has become part of my routine because as the saying goes, why throw it when you can fix it? So I went to this cobbler by the street near to my lunch place. The whole process of resoling and polishing was about 15 minutes and costs me only RM15 (US$5). It was a few days before Hari Raya so I paid him a little bit more as tip and wishes him Selamat Hari Raya.
He thanked me whole heartily, just like how he fixes my shoe. The expression on his face clearly demonstrates his attitude towards his work, even for a menial street job like this.
Hence, this is the story of a pakcik from Bandung, Indonesia trying to find a living in KL.
