Earlier this year high school students from Griffith in south west New South Wales collaborated with students from Western Sydney on a theatrical production. With over 500km separating the groups, the students initially communicated via Skype and snail mail before meeting face-to-face in Sydney.
Months later, the Western Sydney students would return the favour travelling to Griffith to continue the collaboration.
The project, called 'Secret Places' culminated in two simultaneous performances at the Griffith Regional Theatre and Casula Powerhouse in late June. Over the course of the project both the city and regional groups came up with 8 themes each for the production, with the final shows including all 16 elements.
