Making of "Creating the Spectacle!", a ground-breaking series of performances of an underwater self-propelled wheelchair and Sue Austin, its human occupant.
"Disability is having the ability to do something completely different": Camel Dive Club instructor Cath Bates couldn't have found more appropriate words to describe the experience of working together with the Freewheeling team.
Sue Austin is an underwater wheelchair artist, who geared up for performances during the London 2012 Olympic Games and braved extreme conditions to capture the perfect footage diving in Sharm El Sheikh with Camel Dive Club.
Sue learnt to dive with Camel in 2005 and came back to Sharm in 2012 with a dream to achieve: to transform preconceptions about disability by generating a public debate about contemporary arts practice shaped by the experience of disability.
