The Register of Deeds is a six-year term of office, Middlesex South manages the largest land records office in Massachusetts. In FY 2012, the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds processed more than 239,000 documents, with a staff of 67 and a $3.1 million budget. The registry of deeds is the recording office for documents affecting title to real estate located in the southern district of Middlesex county. The registry has been maintain property records since 1649.
